If you’re like me, you like to take your dog out with you as much as possible! Since Kermit was about 12 weeks old, we’ve been taking him to as many places we can. It’s been a great way to socialize him and get him used to behaving out in public.
Something I love to do with Kermit is take him shopping, especially if it’s way too hot (or too cold) for a normal walk. It’s a fun outing for him where he gets to experience new places and people, and I get an excuse to go shopping!
The Summit has plenty of water bowls spread out near different shops. There are also designated “potty stops” with turf and poop bags available. Many shops at The Summit are dog friendly too. The ones that are have a paw print sticker by the door to let people know dogs are welcome inside.

*The Home Depot off Crestwood Boulevard in the Eastwood Shopping Center is definitely dog friendly, but this varies by location, so you might want to double check if you are going to a different one.
**Mountain High Outfitters located on 4th Ave near Avondale is fairly new and definitely dog friendly. I know there is a Mountain High Outfitters at The Summit near Free People as well, but we have not been inside there and there was no dog sticker, which was why it was not included on the list of stores in The Summit.
We know Sheppard’s Pet Supply is a dog store so it’s definitely dog friendly, but it’s one of our favorite local stores and we love going there for treats and food. It’s located on 4th Ave next to Mountain High Outfitters.
